REMEMBERING
CHLOE
A life that continues to inspire care, music, and connection.

The world lost Chloe Childress in the July 4th Texas floods that wiped away so many lives, including 27 summer campers at Camp Mystic. Chloe was a beloved counselor to those campers. While her story is tragic, her legacy is as bright as ever, carried by friends and family who believe Chloe's light can continue to illuminate paths to care, healing, connection, and especially great music.

About Chloe from her friends

Chloe's Way
To show up for the people you love.
To laugh loudly and often.
To embrace every moment.
To be unapologetically you.
To say yes to life.

100% heart, 100% chaos, and 100% determined.
Chloe lived her life the way she wanted to live it. She managed to save a small piece of everyone around her, every day. Chloe built lifelong friendships full of love and laughter. She celebrated your wins, comforted you in doubt, and made you laugh until you cried. She had a rare way of making everyone feel like they had her completely in their corner, because they all did.

Intelligent, driven, stubborn, sharp.
Chloe did anything she put her mind to. She was determined to use her intellect and persistence for others. She dreamt of becoming a doctor, warning her friends and family that if they did not take care of her health, they would have to make an appointment with her someday. When she said it, she meant it. And we all felt it.

Spontaneous, new, yes.
Chloe was herself and no one else. She was spontaneous, ready to say yes, to try something new, and to chase a moment for no other reason than because it felt right. From late-night food runs in the rain to karaoke performances, from lime scooter rides to international adventures, Chloe inspired everyone to live – really live – not as Chloe would, but as our souls would.

A never-ending playlist of laughter, adventures, love.
Chloe left an extraordinary impact. Whether it was blasting music during an ice bath, wearing ridiculous shirts for "the bit," jumping into spontaneous splits, or convincing friends to go on late-night quests for Bahama bucks, Chloe made life feel bigger, louder, and more alive.

Chloe's way
But Chloe's greatest impact was on the way she made everyone feel. That we could all live exactly as ourselves. Without fear, without judgement, and without looking over your shoulder to see who's watching. That's Chloe's way. And now, it's our way.
